“Here’s a pretty straightforward Dolcetto that starts off with lots of bold dark fruit but that also has the benefit of fine chalk and hints of flinty minerality. The 2022 Dolcetto d’Alba offers a little more complexity and aspires to more than just monotone blackberry. You get tart cherry and a hint of lilac or another blue flower. This is a terrific value buy.”
