Opening with a deep, intensely aromatic yet also pure, refined and flinty-mineral bouquet of crushed stones, this is a pure, intense, complex, refreshing, mineral and thoroughly salty, tensioned and excitingly sustainable Riesling from a spectacular, steep vineyard that hosts Christian Hermann’s oldest vines. The finish is tight but also sensual and indicates a great, immortal Spätlese from one of the Mosel’s finest vineyards.”
