“The Orlando Abrigo 2019 Barbaresco Meruzzano shows a delicate embroidery of rose, dark berry, tar and crushed stone. The Meruzzano MGA in Treiso sits at a breezy 350 to 400 meters in elevation with sun-drenched south and southwest exposures. The soils are characteristic calcareous marl. This wine is delicate and fine in texture with an almost weightless quality that ultimately gives more prominence to those elegant aromas. Production is 21,000 bottles and you get good value.”
